From the time I saw Cameron Diaz wearing these winter boots, I can’t remove the thought of me having one of those fluffy and adorable boots (which I eventually discovered are called UGGs) for myself although I can’t pinpoint one instance here in the Philippines I can wear these shoes. But very timely, we are planning to go to China for a trip on November when China is experiencing its winter sonata. So I guess this is a sign, I shall buy my own UGGs and I lovet! My issue is it is so pricey! Around $200 each pair and duh?!
First, what are these UGG boots? According to Wikipedia, UGG boots (sometimes referred to as UGGs or UG boots) are a style of sheepskin boot, with wool as the inner lining and a tanned outer surface worn by both men and women. The natural insulative properties of sheepskin give thermostatic properties to the boots: the thick fleecy fibers on the inner part of the boots allow air to circulate and keep the feet at body temperature. This means that UGG boots can be worn without socks or tights (even in relatively cold weather).
So much for the Wikipedia infos and let us now go to its aesthetic purpose. I searched the net for UGG boots selections to choose from. Toni sent me this link (uggaustralia.com). This seems to be the most popular brand when it comes to this kind of footwear.
From this site, these are my picks:And being gaya-gaya, I will also dress up my UGGs like some celebs (whom I’m not familiar with):
