Revenge of a Marine

A Marine was deployed to Afghanistan. While he was there he received a letter from his girlfriend. In the letter she explained that she had slept with two guys while he had been gone and she wanted to break up with him. AND, she wanted pictures of herself back.

So the Marine did what any squared-away Marine would do. He went around to his buddies and collected all the unwanted photos of women he could find. He then mailed about 25 pictures of women (with clothes and without) to his girlfriend with the following note:

“I don’t remember which one you are. Please remove your picture and send the rest back.”

Shepherd and Sheep

A sheep is a clueless animal. They have no sense of direction. They do not know where they are going. That is why they need someone to tend them towards the green pasture. That role is attended by the shepherd.

Despite their cluelessness, sheep have excellent visual and audio-memory. They recognize the voice and face of their shepherd. They remember and follow their handler. When two flocks of sheep were mixed, their corresponding shepherds can easily separate the two flocks just with their voice.

However, in a flock, there is always what we call "Black Sheep". This is the sheep who always wander away from the flock. The technique shepherds use to discipline this black sheep is breaking the sheep's leg.

Yes! He breaks the sheep's leg, uses splint to immobilize the broken bones, hand-feeds him and carry him on his shoulders while his leg heals.

The sheep tends to be dependent on the shepherd. When the leg is healed and the sheep was able to walk again, the sheep would remain by the shepherd's side for the rest of his life.

This is Café Cõi Riêng located in Tân Bình District.

There's an outside area.

But we opt to sit inside.

Got this "Tea with salted plum"

and salted plum (the taste reminded me of this silly candy we called "ostya")

You have to mix them first.

Then pour in a taller and more sophisticated glass with ice and star stirrer.

We do not need to understand everything to believe on something.
We don't need to understand everything to trust Jesus.


TRUST that is based on one undeniable truth - that God has sent his only son to die on the cross for our salvation.


This Sunday, i realize that i have to focus.
FOCUS on the why i was sent here.

Helmets ETC,

When i came back to Ho Chi Minh, saw these banners posted in every single inch of the city.

Wondering what are these all about.

Thought t'was an advocacy about fireman.

Such a bobo i was. hahaha!


Took me a week before i undertand the ad.
If not for my friend Trinh, i am still thinking this is a fireman ad.


The advocacy is by AIP, which stands for Asia Injury Prevention Foundation, a US registered non-profit organization that creates public-private partnership, develops mass media education and school curricula, and implement school-based helmet use and traffic safety education programs to reduce the pervasive and devastating rate of road traffic crash injuries and fatalities in developing countries. Whew! that is from their website.


This just reminds me of Toni's 100% guilt-free shopper advocacy.

Flight001

Malaysia - Cambodia Trip

Last week, I visited Malaysia.
In Selangor and Kelantan.

I attended the launch of a radio event.
This is Zenny Salihudin.

From Malaysia, i went directly to Phnom Penh, Cambodia's capital city.

Malaysia's uber nice airport.

Watched 500 days of summer during the flight.

My plane lunch was a two-thumbs-up!
