This is where i stay

One thing that amazed me about Vietnam are their houses which is a very narrow but tall structures.
I think the story behind this is that Vietnamese are born entrepreneurs.
They usually do business in the first two floors of their house and the rest of the floors serves as their house proper.

But in the case of apartments business, they stay in the first two floors of their house as their home, the rest of the floors are for rent.

This post is a dissection of the structure of a typical Vietnamese"low-rise condominium".

The "door" of the house (cửa) serves as the gate at the same time.
They do not have gardens.
The door usually is the only division between the road and the receiving area.

The receiving area serves as the parking space also.
This is where they park their motorbikes and leave their shoes.
No shoes are allowed inside a Vietnamese house.

Next to the parking space is the living room.
This is where the sofa set is located.
Beyond the stairs is the dining and the kitchen.
Motorbike parking space extends here since the tenants also own motorbikes.

The stairs are long and winding.
Usually, the floors reach up to 5 floors.
The steps are small but high.
So imagine my experience going up to my room (5th floor)!

The top floor is the laundry area.
This is where tenants can wash and dry their clothes.

Each room costs around 200-400USD.
Fully furnished!
Usually laundry and water is inclusive.
If you're lucky electricity is also inclusive.
Internet and cable is free!
There is someone who cleans your room (bathroom!) regularly.

...and that is how a typical Vietnamese low-rise condominium looks like. Bow.
